Illustration Studies

I investigated my watch in order to develop six unique illustration styles through its depiction at different graphic projections, formality, and levels of abstraction. I started this project with careful study and observation of my object. Noting the different textures, how it reacted to light, and how it altered and changed shape with movement and stress. From there I moved on to developing many line based sketches focusing on different graphic projections and levels of abstraction then developing these further with digital mediums. I struggled with the high abstract illustration but through critique and discussion I was able to flatten the perspective to successfully abstract the watch.
